On May 15 or 16, please drop by the URBAN CAT LEAGUE booth at the 9th Avenue International Food Fair. Each year, UCL distributes information about disaster preparedness for companion animals in addition to advocating for NYC street cats . Like last year, our location will be just south of 41st street on the west side of 9th avenue, across from the Port Authority. Come meet one of the UCL team between 10am and 6pm either day. See you there!

Recent arrival Ritchie, (below, left) is welcomed into the tribe by Snow Tiger and Ranger. These vastly different personalities are living proof that neutered tomcats can nearly always live together in perfect harmony. It is fascinating for us at Urban Cat League to observe as cats strike up friendships and strong bonds grow among the members of the sanctuary colony.

Feral Cat Council

URBAN CAT LEAGUE is a founding member of the newly formed NEW YORK CITY FERAL CAT COUNCIL(NYCFCC). It's a brand new project of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals; a coalition of NYC animal organizations working to humanely and effectively reduce our city's feral cat population through the use of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). The Council's website www.nycferalcat.org is a one stop resource for all information about feral cat care and activism in NYC. Other members include the ASPCA, Humane Society, Kitty Caretakers of Queens, Animal Haven, Neighborhood Cats and Animal Care & Control of New York City (AC&C).
