A few years ago we came together and created a small sanctuary for street cats in midtown Manhattan. There feral cats can live in a protected, safe and happy environment. But we realized that we needed and wanted to do more. In August of 2002, we became a non-profit corporation, Urban Cat League so we can expand beyond our tiny sanctuary. Our success at socializing wild street kittens for adoption has made the demand for our services exceed the capacity of our sanctuary. We wanted to start helping others who are experiencing the frustrations of how to help street cats. We are all seasoned street cat care-givers. Our evolving purpose is expanding services available for helping Street Cats in NYC Read our first newsletter to see how we got started. | |||
